The driver updater should be offering you the most recent drivers based on the date they were released, not a version number; sometimes it's possible for a newer release to have a number that looks less, either because the manufacturer pulled a driver with a later version number and reissued an older one for safety, or because the manufacturer changed their versioning scheme. That's why we sort off the release date, as that's the most reliable.
