After about 12 hours I think Drive Wiper successfully completed its work on an external drive. But the screen had returned to the Drive Wiper menu and there was no information provided that the Drive Wiping completed successfully. I had checked on it several hours earlier and it was still chugging along. If the wiping was not successful would it have provided an error message? Is the system currently set up to indicate that the job was successfully completed (Did I miss something?) or is that something that can be added to the next update? Thanks for this excellent program.
this has been suggested before (& supported by me) however it currently does not inform you it has finished
It would be awesome if it had this feature.
I too, sometimes wipe a drive, but I have a lot of things going on, then CCleaner finishes, returns to the screen, & I have no way to know if it has been run!
Then I ? myself at times, particularly in back to back drive wipings of multiple drives with multiple GB/TB sizes... Hey! Did I just wipe this drive? Or not?
+1 from me!
What I've did before using Wipe Free Space (I know it's not the Drive Wiper) is to run Recuva afterwords too see if everything was successful.
That is 1 way! Although a bit in-efficient...
Hopefully, they will fix this soon!
