Disgruntled CCleaner user.

Instead of hijacking someone else's post......

(Don't tell me that you were under the impression that I started this whole thread.)

Yes I knew you didn't start this thread, I followed it here after it was moved.

Great idea, Hazelnut. That's what I want.

I only have one condtion: Assume good faith in members. Next time, if you or any of your fellow moderators felt someone is crossing the fine line, just let him know. I for one, will stop immediately and will never do it again.

Oh, and by the way, I was calm the whole time.

Fascinating interaction. Pick one from the list: Games People Play. And down at the bottom: "As with any game, it comes to an abrupt end when one player decides (usually unconsciously) to stop playing." Wonder if this works on the 'net? :D

No one on this forum endorses long ongoing threads which bring nothing positive to this forum, especially the moderators, but your latest comments leave me with no choice but to make a reply.

I was annoyed with your attitude to start with, but now I'm simply disappointed with it.

Your actions deserved more that a word in your ear, and your comments weren't casual. To anyone but a blind man, they were designed to make a dramatic statement, and garner as much attention as possible.

And to top off the drama you were hoping to create, you state that you use another registry cleaner anyway.

Which makes me think, what on earth was the point of the whole exercise?

We have many posts from users in the bug reporting section, pointing out that CCleaner is removing one particular registry item or another, and causing a problem with a particular product.

The members on here then endeavour to find a solution to that problem, and the developers endeavour to apply a fix when possible, in a future version.

That is the correct and sensible way to inform this support forum about a problem, not jump into another members topic in as dramatic a fashion as possible.

What you achieved was to probably totally confuse the original poster, undermine the advice given to that poster, and quite possibly put that new member off ever coming back to this forum.

Which is one of the reasons I'm disappointed with your attitude. Not once have you made any attempt to apologise to the original poster in whose thread you chose to vent your feelings.

You gave me two choices with your actions.

1: Delete your post as being discourteous to the Original Poster.

2: Move your comments to a more relevant section of the forum where they could be replied to without completely hijacking the original thread.

I chose the latter, and correct option, as deleting your post could possibly have been construed by yourself and others as censorship, and I gave you a reply in keeping with the tone of your comments, and the manner in which you made them.

The cyberbully comment has already been covered by another moderator, and I've no intention of adding to that.

I only have one condtion: Assume good faith in members.

And finally, there wasn't anything resembling good faith in your original post, which made assuming it not an option.

And that is my final word on this matter.

Now, perhaps moderator sephiroth

If you want to disrespect me you definitely won't last long on here, so chill out.

@Moderator Andavari:

Sorry, Moderator Andavari. It was an unintended mistake. I just saw your avatar instead of your name. (It is Sephiroth in your avatar, isn't it?) No insult was meant.

It's probably just habit: I participate in other forums in which we have Moderator Sephiroth BCR and Administrator Sephiroth X. They have Sephiroth in their avatars too.

@Moderator DennisD:

Edited by Moderator: Don't assume to call me dude, or add further insults to the ones you have already made.

That will be my last post in this thread.

You've come very close to making it your last post on this forum, which I have made very clear in my pm.

The subject and the thread are now closed.
