I'm trying to run CCleaner before a backup job with the /AUTO switch. the problem is the UAC that pops out in Windows 7. is there a way to disable this only on /AUTO mode, or create some shortcut that will run CCLEANER without the UAC warning?

Did you log in as Administrator?
Yes, my user has administrator privileges. It also pops up in normal use, not command line.
Here the same, I installed Ccleaner on my new Windows 7 install (an ultimate version was given away by Microsoft after the TechNet Live semminar in The Hague last thursday)
I prefer not to disable UAC completely, but is there a way to bypass the message for a specific (trusted) program like CCleaner ?
Try looking over this article and see if it helps. It will allow you to run CC with the Auto switch and bypass UAC prompts using Task Scheduler.

Great tip, Personally I nuked (just disabled) UAC as soon as I installed "7 RC".
Though I do like is implementation better than in Vista.
I understand that nuking it might be the best solution, but so far, this is the only time it really annoys me.
