Disable a folder from being cleaned

I recently started using Host Yourself... Here's the problem, Host Yourself stores info in the following folder: (C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javaws\http\Dhostyourself.net\P80\DMmydiskserver\AMMyDiskServer.jnlp)

I think that CCleaner must be cleaning this folder, without which I can't start Host Yourself.

Is there any way to block this folder from being cleaned? Thanks

To stop this behavior you'll have to disable the cleaning of Sun Java Runtime Environment by doing the following:

  1. Start CCleaner then click the large Cleaner button.
  2. Then click the Applications tab, and under Internet untick Sun Java.
  3. Done.

Thanks so much for the help. I was dreading not using CCleaner to keep Host Yourself going.

Have a safe holiday season!

cheers, Alan

Will CCleaner leave untouched sub-directories in the path "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Sun\Java\" if the 'Sun Java' box is unchecked? It seems that sometimes the .\Deployment\cache\. is still getting disturbed even when Sun Java is unselected.

Is there something about the 'Registry Integrity' tool that could touch the .\Deployment\cache\. or links to it? My jnlp WebStart application is getting broken often and I am trying to find the cause.

Thanks for any help.

Why not use the exclude feature of CCleaner and exclude the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javaws\http\Dhostyourself.net\

this should be enough to stop any deletion of/from that folder
