Desktop Shortcuts Lost

After running CCleaner Free v4.18.4844 (64bit), some of my Desktop shortcuts have vanished. The Desktop Shortcut selection under System within the Windows Tab is not checked. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium/Service Pack 1 and it is current.

I have searched the documentation and through the Forum and cannot find this issue.

they may have been files that normally get cleaned by CC, like .log or .tmp files, or files starting with ~

They are shortcuts for folders either:

  1. on the computer
  2. on another computer on the local network
  3. Microsoft OneDrive Folders

Thus, they are not files that would normally get cleaned by CC.
