Deleting Recognized Computer From Credit Card Sites

I have a Chase card that I pay online each month on their web site. CC Cleaner is deleting something so that Chase does not recognize my computer the next time I login. I then have to go thru the trouble of getting an ID code again to login. Is there a setting that I need to opt out of so that this does not happen? I already have the Cookies without a check mark.

If the site uses Adobe Flash Player which I don't know if it does you may need to untick that in the Cleaner section.

That is a strange little link, almost invisible, there at the bottom of your post. Got me wondering what it is. Google translate tells me what the words are on the French site, but i still don't understand. Duhh, just me, I guess.

Anyway, sometimes you can call the customer service number, usually a free call, for your credit card account and they can help you. They sometimes depend on cookies to ID your computer. If that is the case, you would have to choose to keep the cookies or get a different ID code key every time. Not a simple choice. Cookies are a little bit vulnerable.

I had the same problem with another credit card company but it was IE8 not CCleaner causing the problem.

If you happen to use IE8, check Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing history. Is 'Delete browsing history on exit' enabled?

If so, go one step further to Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing history > Delete... The 'Delete...' button with three trailing dots (rather than the 'Settings' button next to it) leads to the Delete Browsing History settings page. If you have Cookies selected, do you have 'Preserve Favorites website data' selected? Not selecting the latter was my problem.

I also had the same problem with my Chase credit card. I solved the problem by adding the Chase cookie in CCleaner's "Cookies to Keep" under Options/Cookies.
