uncheck passwords under firefox on the applications tab
move the cookies for the sites you want to keep to the right hand pane in options>cookies
Also uncheck passwords in IE too
Thanks for replies. Saved passwords were already unticked, but I will move the cookies.
I should also have said that FF is set to reopen with the tabs in use when closed, but after cleaning
it reverts to a new session.
Untick "session" under Mozilla/Firefox
Try double-checking your Firefox options to see if it is still set to save session
Yes it is.
Looking at your image I suggest unchecking ALL the :-
10 checkboxes under Firefox
The first 4 checkboxes under Multimedia.
Even when logging in with Firefox, you may be getting unexpected cookies,
possibly Silverlight (I never trusted that) or Flash (I hate its pervasive influence)
That may fix your problem,
otherwise try again but with all of Internet Explorer unchecked (Trident sometimes gets involved against your will).
When you have fixed the problem then you can re-check those boxes one at a time to identify what causes you grief.
Ok. Thanks.
I'll probably just get rid of Silverlight anyway. I didn't install it and I have no idea what it does.
I think I need Flash as I do a lot of bulk uploading to Photobucket and it gets the hump if it's not the most up to date version.
