It's nearly Christmas, but that doesn't mean our developers have slowed down - hot off the press is a new version of Defraggler! Version 2.12 includes Windows 2012 Server support and a new option to prevent scheduled defrags if specific processes are running - so you can further customize your auto-defragmentation.

For me this version performs exactly as v.2.11. Neither worse nor better.

I just wish the floppy drive bug could have been fixed for this version. Gets really annoying hearing it get activated when it shouldn't when switching to other drives inside of Defraggler.

The new version will not download correctly onto my PC. I run Windows 7 and previously have had no problems using defraggler.The file appears to download but the icon is incorrect and it asks 'OpenWith.org' when I right click on the icon. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times and used two differnt download sites.

There are many sites that provide Defraggler look-a-likes and possible bundle in other stuff.

The only recommended alternative to Piriform.com is FileHippo.com.
