Defraggler Use With Microsoft Live File Data Storage On CD/DVD-RW Discs

Greetings,

We've begun making use of backup data storage on DVD-RW discs. We're using Windows Vista Service Pack 3 platform. The platform automatically gives users the option for creating a data storage disc (CD-RW-/DVD-RW) using something called the Microsoft Live File ?system? . We've noticed that Defraggler does not recognize: 1. That a data storage disc is loaded in the machine; and, 2. Users are, therefore, not given the option enabling the software to recognize a loaded data storage disc.

In a "perfect world" Defraggler would:

1. Recognize that a data storage disc is loaded in the machine;

2. Display the available amount of data space;

3. Display the amount of data space in current use;

4. "Defraggle" the data on the data storage disc.

Ciao,

Richard Matthis

There is no advantage to defraging data on a CD.

Vista doesn't have a service pack 3
