Defraggler see's my M.2 ssd as an HDD in the disc list and only gives me defragment option rather than optimize. I am using a Samsung PM 951 512 GB M.2 nvme ssd. It's mounted on an ASUS maximus 7 hero mother board in it's native m.2 slot. All other systems see this drive as an even windows 10 itself . The problem lies with Piriform....they need to update their software....this is a Defraggler Bug.
Does Windows correctly identify the drive? Defraggler may use Windows' information. A suggestion is to try opening the command prompt and winsat diskformal .
Even though this is about an SATA ssd, I'm posting it in here as it's being recognized as an HDD by Defraggler as well. Essentially being the same issue.
Same goes for my SAMSUNG 830 Series SSD, which is connected using SATA. Defraggler says it's an HDD, Speccy says it's an SSD (which is correct). Windows also detects the drive as an SSD.
