Defraggler hangs

As requested, I am adding the following information: I am using Defraggler v. 2.10.424 (64 bit) on a Windows 7 SP1 system.

There were no error messages, per se. Only, as indicated in my original report below, the first few attempts "hung" at a certain point in the process and the "time remaining" steadily increased. This happened during three separate attempts at defragging. The fourth and final attempt resulted in a message saying: "aborted".

While attempting to defrag one of my drives, Defraggler never gets past about 15% and the estimated time to complete has increased to 16 hours. I aborted and restarted the defrag process a couple of times iwth the same result...'hanging' at the same spot. Trying a 'quick defrag', no action is detected, but Defraggler says the action is complete after about 5 seconds.

This does not occur when defragging my other hard drive; that operation worked perfectly. A check of the "health" of the drive does not reveal any problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

p.s. One more attempt at defragging this morning....the operation "aborted" itself at about the same spot (15%) on the drive.

I'm running Vista Home 32 bit and mine is stuck at 78%. It won't defrag the last two files. I can get it to get a little ways past it by stopping the program and restarting, but it doesn't last long and then gets stuck again. The time keeps going up too. First, it say 45 minutes, then 10, now 30. It's been running all day and just won't complete it. I'm just going to finish it up with Windows disk defrag. I had 33% defragmentation, but still, 14 hours is too long.

It won't defrag the last two files.

What are the filenames and paths of the two culprits?
