Defraggler freezes during disk analysis

Greetings;

I am a long time user who's running into trouble on the last few updates.

Defraggler freezes during disk analysis of my primary storage (not OS) drive;

A 7200.11RPM Seagate 1.5TB drive

5347 files in 80 folders

Actual av space is 1.21.

I click the analyze button and wait. I have the same problem at different points under multiple OSs.

The problem occurs at 1% done on Vista x64, 2% on Vista x32, and 7% on 7x64 I've left it running, set to realtime, for 36 hours on each OS, without it moving beyond that point so it's definitely stuck.

The drive clears both the Smart 1 response test at 100% and the Smart 2 test at 100%, and shows a Command SMART-H level of 98% (Run off of a bootable Debian Live DVD) (flagged for fragmentation of file, file system index, and folder structure) so I know it shouldn't be the drive health at issue

There's 156.4 gigs of free space, and the largest file is less than 20 gigs so there is room to manoeuvre, albeit slowly, so the space limitation ceiling shouldn't kick in yet either.

I'm running the OSs off of separate drives so it's not a conflict there either. This only started happening a few versions back, atleast the last 3 or 4 updates. Prior to that I was able to defragment the drive without a problem. All other drives can be analysed and defragmented without issue.

Current revision 1.15.163

Any suggestions?

Hi lostinlodos, and welcome to Piriform.

Can you run Defraggler in "Debug" mode, and paste the logs into this thread for the developers to check out?

Running Defraggler in debug mode:

Thanks.

Alright I've deleted 3 3.5 gig files, and now it's sticking at 56% Makes me wonder if there's really something sticking....

Anyway, here's the latest log, I'll see if I can move a few more files off and how far it gets; maybe we'll find a fault somewhere.

Thanks, we'll have a look at this.
