Defraggler will warn the user when the Recycle Bin should be emptied first to save time. However, it seems to do only that - and if the Recycle Bin has a lot in it, the process will freeze while the thread runs. CCleaner doesn't freeze, is much more comprehensive, etc. - given that both are Piriform products, if both are installed, why not have Defraggler offer to open CCleaner instead?
I don't see why not.
I like that it should only prompt to open CCleaner if CCleaner is installed already (though it should include a 'do not ask me this' box)
yeah, I'm a bit mixed on this one.
I prefer my CCleaner to clean and my Defraggler to defrag.
I can see why DF wants to empty the Recycle Bin first - I mean why defrag rubbish that in all likelihood was deleted for a reason and about to get nuked anyway.
But then you could apply the same reasoning to why doesn't it then get rid of 'temp' files as well before a defrag.
And if not 'temp' stuff, why bother with the Recycle Bin...
aarrggh - logic loop !!!!
Personally, I just ran CC before a DF. Problem sorted.
