First i'd like to thank Piriform for there great apps!!!
Now back to Defraggler:
After i defrag my drive with Defraggler, it still showing 13% fragmentation after completion! Then i run Diskeeper 2010 (just to check) it shows a Yellow light as a warning status of fragmentation on my drive after Defragler's job! After i defrag with Diskeeper 2010 and it gives me a Green light (status of NO fragmentation), i open Defragler and it still indicates 13% fragmentation!!!
Are the fragmented files in C:\System Volume Information\ with long random names ?

Is there a way of seeing those files that are still fragmented?

Ok, i did everything as you instructed, there are allot less files left after the process, but it's still indicates 13% fragmentation!
After that, i repeated the same thing and there was only 2 files left, but it still indicates 13% fragmentation!!! That's interesting!!!
EDIT: I noticed that those two files are quite large, total weight of those two = a little over 10GB, which is about 13% of my 139GB harddrive!!! I tried to defrag
those two files several times, but they just won't defrag!

Ok, i figured out what those two files are... Page file and Hibernation!
I disabled Hibernation, as i don't use it and now the HIBERFIL.SYS was deleted and after Defraggler's job now i got 8% fragmentation, which is my 6GB Page file (i got 6GB of ram), i'm keeping my page file!!!
I absolutely love how in Defraggler i can highlight individual fragmented block and see what it is and defrag it, it's very detailed and easy to use, GREAT JOB Piriform!!! Just LOVE it!!! Thanks!!!

That should "defrag" the pagefile.
- Hit Windows key + Pause/Break key on your keyboard.
- Choose "Advanced system settings"
- Click the button in the "Performance" category
- In the "Advanced" tab, click the "Change" button
- Select "No paging file"
- Click the "Set" button, and click OK
- Reboot
- Go back to the dialog you just quit, and chose "Custom size"
- For both the "Initial size" and "Maximum size", type 6144
- Click the "Set" button, and click OK
- Reboot
That should "defrag" the pagefile.

You mentioned that you have Diskeeper; you can always defragment the page file using Diskeeper's boot-time defragmentation method. It can also defragment the MFT and folders file at the same time.

Hi, I am having a similar problems but mine is saying 31% fragmentation. I have noticed a few things. I have some video files that are pretty large over 2 or 3 gigs each and I also noticed that I have my hard drive set to compression mode. Would either of these situations cause my drive to still have 31% fragmentation? Can you tell me what I should do to help with this situation?

That will defrag the pagefile.
Then :
That will defrag/delete the hiberfile.
Then
That should defrag the rest of the files.
Please do the following :

- In the Hibernate tab, uncheck the Enable Hibernation checkbox.
- Reboot
- If you are using a laptop or netbook, enable it again by checking the checkbox mentionned above and rebooting
That will defrag/delete the hiberfile.
Then
- Boot in Safe Mode, in the Administrator account : http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ss/safemodexp.htm .
- Open Defraggler
- Defrag Free space (Action >> Advanced >> Defrag Freespace (allow fragmentation) )
- Defrag the drive.
That should defrag the rest of the files.
Hi I tried what you said but it actually made things worse.. I started with 31% fragmented and now I have 35%.. What am I doing wrong??
I first removed the paging then the hibernation and finally restarted in safe mode and defragged the free space.. Is that what I should have done?
Still frustrated..
Did you also do a normal defrag (in safe mode too) ?
If it doesn't defrag everything... do you have a USB flash drive, SD card, external disk, or other storage device with free space on it ?

I only did the complete defrag in the normal mode.. I decided to start over and see what happens.. My computer is in the process at the moment.. Also what do you mean do I have a USB Flash Drive or external disk with free space on it? I don't have one connected to the computer at this time, but I do have some available.. What do you want me to do with those?
Ok... I will stop the process and restart the computer in safe mode and do a total defrag from there... This will take awhile ... 24 hours or so... since my drive is big.. But I will check for your posts..
