So I download the update, oddly enough, after Defragging my Defrag % is worse than before. It does go a lot faster, but I'd rather have it done right than Fast.
And it's obviously Fragmented, as my system is as slow as molasses.

Try this: using CCleaner delete all but your latest System Restore points, and run CC to delete all your Temp Internet files.
This will cut your frag count substantially. Then run Defraggler.
Be aware that deleting System Restore Points means you'll have less backups if something goes wrong.
I don't think that fragmentation is the cause of your "slow as molasses" system. Sounds more like a lot of useless preinstalled or bundled software running in the background to me
