Default Start and New Tab screens in Windows 10 Microsoft Edge browser are removed by installing CCleaner and running it.

I have now found on two separate installations that the Edge Start and New tab screens are blanked by running CCleaner. There does not seem to be an easy way to recover these default screens and I have had to use the intricate process of re-installing Edge on each occasion.

CC version?

according to the change logs, they have improved Edge support in the latest release.

but there seems to be continual issues with CC and Edge, mainly due to the ever-changing nature of Edge and Win10.

CC 5.18.5607

5.19.5633 is the latest.

might be worth a try.
