Fascinating, as Spock would say. Stands to reason though. Bit like looking into space; you can see the closer stars and you just know there's a lot more out there. But you can't see it or comprehend just how vast it is.

I just like a bit of mystery
Some subscription websites display their full content to search engine robots so they will show up in user searches, but then show users a login or subscription page when they click a link from the search engine results page.

Many pages that don't have links to them don't deserve them. They may be abandoned, stupid or plain useless. These don't deserve links as they would just crapify search results. Unfortunately many useful or good sites remain unlinked and just die.
