December Desktops

Damn, that thing must have a titanium trunk.

And I dread to think of the time it takes... I'd post a shot of mine but jeez, it pales into insignificance.

Believe it or not, it takes us all of an hour or so to do it, maybe not even that long. It really depends on how much we goof off in between hanging the ornaments. The lights take the longest...especially when you have 4 strands decide not to work for no good reason. <_< But I won't get started on that little problem.

Post your tree! I'd love to see it. I bet it's beautiful!

A couple of my favourite movies to keep your eyes out for are "The Lost Bladesman" and "Demon Empire" you will enjoy them both if you have not already watched them.

I recommend "Rurouni Kenshin (2012)" as a good watch. Good story and great cinematography, the first few scenes are particularly good.

How's it hold up to the original anime/manga? I loved those, but I didn't know there was a live action film based on them.

I knew it stemmed from a series, but I've never been a Manga fan so haven't seen any of that series.

All I can say is that being a fan of traditional Samurai movies, I rate it very highly.

If any of you guys are fans of the Samurai Code Of Honour, and it being an integral and important part of a movie rather than the sometimes poorly and overdone sword play, then don't miss "Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai".

I've deliberately not provided a link to any review or trailer simply because too many details of the plot and the inexorable build up to the climax are quite often given away in reviews and trailers.

Trust me, get a copy and soak up exactly what the code of a Samurai can mean. You won't be disappointed.

I repeat, if you haven't seen it, don't be tempted to look for a review. You'll more than likely hit a "spoiler".

If you have seen it, please don't give away the plot.

DennisD I've caught up with your suggestions: Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai & Rurouni Kenshin (version 2012)...........you were right, both movies spectacular. As a mater of interest my Son and Daughter were here at home for Christmas and watched Rurouni Kenshin again, both of them saw the movie last year in 3D. Thanks for the suggestion. Regards Tas :) :)

Hey Tas!

I'm pleased you and the family enjoyed them.
