CrapCleaner v7 Corrupted W10 Icon Cache and Settings for Personalization & Taskbar

Version 7 lives up to CCleaner’s original name - CrapCleaner – by transforming CC into buggy Crapware! After automatic installation from v6.39 to v7.0, v7 CC’s default settings for Custom Clean corrupted my PC’s Windows 10 Pro.

The clock icon in the notification area of my taskbar ‘blacked out’ after running Custom Clean. The clock was there but its ‘text’ was black and I could barely see it. The same was true for the Windows ‘gear’ Settings icon in the Application area of my taskbar – its color is ‘black’ too and hard to see. All W10 system icons went ‘black’. Why? CC7 corrupted W10’s Icon Cache.

Additionally, CC7 changed the appearance of my windows’ backgrounds from light mode to dark mode. It corrupted W10’s settings for Personalization.

In order to restore everything described above, I had to uninstall CC7 and run a W10 Restore Point created before CC7’s installation.

Again, CC7 is buggy junkware. I am reverting back to CC v6.39. AND SHAME ON CC’S DEVELOPERS FOR TRANSFORMING A GREAT UTILITY INTO CRAP!
