Dear Crap Cleaner, This has always been the best junk cleaner I have had, but the other day, when I ran it, it crashed on startup repeatedly and a popup from one of my tray guards shows at the shell file C:/Documents and Settings/R A Bowen/Recent was attempting to be changed. Ever since then my CCleaner will not work. I downloaded the latest version just now, but it still crashed. The registry cleaner still works. Can you suggest a cause? Thanks for this fantastic cleaner!!!
Sounds like your tray guard may have messed up CCleaner by stopping it from deleting your Recent Documents. Try closing the tray guards and running CCleaner.
I'm having the same problem as described in the opening post -- however I am unfamiliar with the term 'tray guard' and a quick google didn't turn up anything that appeared applicable. If someone could enlighten me, I would much appreciate it.
