CPU Temp (again)

When I first ran Speccy I saw that my CPU temps were near and sometimes even above max, so I was very concerned. I installed CoreTemp and it reported the temps well within the safe range.

Looking on the CoreTemp web-site I found this:

Core Temp - How it works

I have used and recommended CCleaner for years (yes, I donated), and except for the CPU temp problem, I like Speccy, too.

How do your Core Temp and Speccy readings compare with SpeedFan?

I ask because right now I have all three running and they all agree.

Speedfan shows the same temps as Speccy. It seems to be something about that particular CPU because Everest gave me a message saying it isn't supported and only shows the HDD temp. I believe CoreTemp is correct because if Speccy & Speedfan were right my CPU would be toast.

It won't toast, it'll just fail. Prochot and Thermtrip will lower the power or shut it down.
