i noticed that with the new version of CCleaner, in "options", CCleaner is not recognizing cookies that i have on my computer so that i can add them to "cookies to keep"..
What browser are you using?
Also are you sure the cookie is actual on your pc, just in case you don't know how to view cookies do the following. In Internet Explorer click tools, Internet Options, settings & then view files and see if the cookie you want is actual there. For Firefox click tools, options, privacy then click cookies and then view cookies and again see if the cookie is actualy there.
I'm having the same problem. CCleaner only shows 3 cookies:
Cookie:larry swinney@yahoo.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@www.yahoo.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@tv.yahoo.com/
It doesn't list the other cookies I want to keep, so I can't move them into the protected area. These are the cookies not listed:
Cookie:larry swinney@foxnews.com
Cookie:larry swinney@google.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@military.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@nypost.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@sdc.tvguide.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@support.microsoft.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@tvguide.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@winxpcentral.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@www.military.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@www.slyck.com/
Cookie:larry swinney@mail.military.com/militarycom
Cookie:larry swinney@www.foxnews.com/video2/
I just noticed this recently, but it may have been going on for awhile. In earlier versions, it used to work fine. I have checked my "temporary internet files" folder and the cookies are there, but CCleaner doesn't list them.

CCleaner analyses all my cookies, but does not show them in the cookie box so that I could select and save special ones from being deleted. Actually, not a single cookie is shown in the cookie box though there are hundreds being analysed. If this is a program bug, okay. But perhaps I am making a stupid mistake in working with the program? I use WinXP and Internet Explorer latest edition. Pls help! Thelse
Hi,
I'm new to this app but what I found was that (with v1.23.160 on WinXP) only cookies that have been created or modified since the last boot seem to be listed in the left-hand column.
If there was a bug, v1.24 seems to have cleared it up. All cookies including those from previous sessions seem to be listed in the left hand column and can be selected for saving.
I set up the cookies I want/don't want. When I run analyze, the cookies I want deleted in Firefox are found and reported deleted. Of course, in analyze they are not deleted. Then I click Run Cleaner and I get an error 75 saying that there is a path/file access error. CClean found the file, looked into it, it is not read only and yet it can't edit it. Anybody have any ideas? I'm running XP Pro.
