Cookies to delete

Hi, Can some one tell me why google.com and google.com/finace cookies from the "cookies to delete" section won't delete? I alway run CCleaner as administrator. I don't have them in my "cookies to keep".

Any help would be welcome.

They may be flash cookies, try selecting Adobe Flash in the Applications tab :)

Thanks but Adobe Flash is in my multimedia section. All boxes are checked for cleaning there as are all the application boxes as well.

Which browser and CCleaner version?

I use FireFox7 but I'm not sure of what version of CCleaner I have. I down loaded CC last Jan/2011. How do I find that out?

Jan/2011 is pretty old, latest version: v3.13.1600 (28 Nov 2011)

You can check the version from there (red circle):

I have v3.07. Mabe I should update?

Yes, I'd suggest updating. Then check again if it removes the cookies and post here the result.

Remember to close Firefox (and Thunderbird) before cleaning/opening CCleaner

Also check if plugin-container.exe is running in Task Manager and end the process if it still runs after closing FF+Thunderbird).

I down loaded the CCv3.13, closed Thunderbird and FF and checked the Task Manager (nothing was running). Cleaned with CC and still had the cookies listed in "cookies to delete". bummer... Should I switch to Internet Explorer browser when I clean?

Please, go to Cookies screen and click the "stubborn" cookie.

At the bottom, you will see an icon representation of the browser(s) creating the cookie.

After half a year is this still a live issue ?

Not an appropriate answer.

The Task Manager has several Tabs.

The "Applications" Tab shows Applications that are running

You need the "Processes" Tab and look at the "Image Name" column
