I have CCleaner Professional ver.4.10 64 bit. after cleaning cookies , I go to options and then cookies to find a long list of cookies that are not deleted in the left column. I tried cleaning Google cookies and my IE 11 Windows 7 cleaning option, but even then the cookies list is still there. Any suggestions? Thank you.
I've moved your post in here into it's own topic, that other topic you posted in was about keeping cookies, not deleting them.
When you go to the cookies list and left click on one of them to highlight it, what icon shows for it at the bottom of the pane?
When I highlight any of the cookies some show the Google chrome icon and one or two show Google and Adobe flash player icon together ( Flash player is not working IE 11) some also show the IE icon.
just a quick follow up: I just deleted Cookies and more than 80 % were deleted including all of the IE cookies. Even though it shows Google chrome cookies deleted about 10 are left in the Options/ Cookies left side list
You need to enable flash in the cleaning (find it on the applications tab) those are flash cookies
I am having the same "can't delete" problems with a Google cookie and a Yahoo cookie in C:\Users\Bozo\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies. ("Bozo" is my whimsical name for myself.) These two cookies always remain after CCleaner removes all others, and I can easily delete them myself (I am my own W7 desktop's Administrator).
The Google cookie file is 9RC2RL7X.txt, and reads as follows ...

I'm not sure what these cookies do, but it seems to me that they should be deleted along with the others ... or maybe not, if there is something missing from my cookie education. At any rate, I intended this post as a "heads up" for the CCleaner developers. If I have some setting wrong in CCleaner, I would appreciate any fix-it advice from other CCleaner users.
Kind regards,
RetiredEngineer
I have the same issue.
There is a list of cookies that just will not delete
- I can right click on them in CCs cookie dialog & select delete - they disappear - but on restarting CC they are all back.
- I have used the browsers own del cookie functions
- as admin, I have searched for cookie dirs & manually deleted what I can see - theoretically they cannot return to CCs cookie list but they are there.
They show icons that identify them as Opera cookies so I have also killed the cookie.dats. Some of the sites they refer to have not been visited for weeks if not months.
I have done a full AV check & the browsers are sandboxed.
If anyone can give me an idea of what is causing this it would be appreciated. TiA.
