Hello All... I re-installed v1.40.520 to a new directory in the PROGRAMS directory this morning. However, after doing so I have noticed that the Options > Cookies area is not being populated. Thus, I am not able to select what cookies I wish to save. I have tried to manually list cookies that I wanted to save by entering "CookiesToSave" in the CCleaner.ini file within the PROGRAMS directory (where CCleaner is installed) however, only one out of ten cookies that I had manually entered are showing up in the Cookies to Keep column.
QUESTION: How do I manually list more than one cookie in the CCleaner.ini file so I will see more than one cookie in the Cookies to Keep column. Better yet, how do I get CCleaner to automatically populate the Cookies area (I have visited many sites, re-visited sites so cookies are being populated in the COOKIES folder for IE6)
Hmm... I was wondering if there are any suggestions for this outstanding problem ![]()
I really enjoyed using the program (close to two years) when it worked, but after re-installing the program it fails to run properly. Any suggestion or hint would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello All... I re-installed v1.40.520 to a new directory in the PROGRAMS directory this morning.
Was there a reason why you had to reinstall?
What exactly do you mean in the quote above, have you changed the default for the program install?
Do you just use IE6 for the internet, and your settings for it haven't changed ?
A late welcome to the forum by the way ![:)]()
Thank you for the welcome message ![:D]()
The reason I had re-installed the software is that I wanted to group all the software that I had installed into one folder within the PROGRAMS directory. By doing so, I would be able to note if a third party software vendor had installed something in my computer without my knowledge (true - some software vendors can install their software anywhere on my harddrive, but most non malicious companies install trial software in the PROGRAMS directory).
Notes:
- CCleaner is installed four levels down from the parent directory (PROGRAMS)
- Using only IE6 with no changes in the settings
- Using Mcafee Internet Security Suite - settings are the same
- Have not installed any software since noting that CCleaner is not functioning properly
Thank you in advance for your assistance and your time in looking in to this matter for me
