convert stereo mp3 to surround sound

Does anyone know anthing about the software shown here?

http://www.all4mp3.com/tools/sw_fhg_demo.html

P.S. would be nice to be able to edit topic title. I meant CONVERT not covert!!!!

I dont know. But probably much is hype and stuff. Example, things there are bass systems that claim superior sound, all it does is raise the volume a little. :P

There are also other stuff that isnt really even MP3 but use the MP3 name such as MP3pro.

Stereo means that it is encoded in two channels. I dont see you can change that in some converting way so it becomes 5.1 (?) channels?

Eitherway, LAME is the best MP3 encoder there is. And Ogg Vorbis is a great codec which is better than MP3 because it provides greater sound quality and greater compression.

I agree with Eldmannen. That is the absolute stupidest thing I have ever heard! You can't get something from nothing. The program most likely has algorithyms that simulate 5.1 surround, but all it will be is stereo coming out of 6 speakers; nothing more.

impossible.
