Confusion On Products

I recently received an email to update my CCleaner Premium License early with a deal of 2 years for the price of one. I checked my current CCleaner and noticed that I have CCleaner7. I used to have Premium. Obviously, somewhere along the line I got “7”….. Is Premium the same thing as 7? If not, why am I getting an email asking me to renew Premium? I am totally confused. Also, when I opened my CCleaner7, I could not find anywhere where I could see my license info (key, expire date, nothing). Please help…..

It is something that does seem to confuse some people, particuarly as CCleaner7 no longer shows at the top if you have the Free or Professional mode running, let’s see if I can explain it simply.

A Premium Licence is not a version of the CCleaner app. Premium is one of the types of the subscription/licence to use the app.
(The 3-types of subscription/licence are Professional, Professional Plus, and Premium)

CCleaner 7 is the latest version of the app itself (actually v7.06.1270 is this months version release).
You can run it as the Free (unlicenced) mode, or it can be the Professional (licenced) mode.
The app itself is the same app in each case, the extra functionality of Pro shows when you put a licence key in to ‘Activate’ it as Pro.

A Premium subscription/licence allows you to Activate CCleaner in Professional mode on up to 5-devices at the same time using the same licence key, it can be any combination of PC, Mac, and Android devices.
It also allows you to install, and then register as Pro Speccy and Recuva using the same licence key for all 3 softwares, and to install and use Kamo.

Open CCleaner7 and click on the settings cogwheel bottom-left then select the ‘My Subscription’ tab.
That should show your details similar to this:

So then, just to make sure I am on the same page as everyone else, it would behoove me to take advantage of this promo offer in my email and purchase the two year license extension, correct? Thank you for your response. It was greatly appreciated.

As you say that you are not due for a renrwal then you need to check the offer email very, very, carefully, particularly chrck the email address that it states.
(If it’s a gmail address then it’s a scam).

There is currently an email scammer active and some customers have already been caught out, see:
