Computer Black Box

Microsoft collects files in the standard history files which can be removed easily. But there is another location that Microsoft saves deleted emails and history that can only be found in DOS and cannot be searched for. Does CCleaner remove those files as well? I know it is used to catch bad people; but most of us are not bad people. I would like to remove those extra files to keep my computer running smoothly.

I have to say, I never herd of this before. Did you get this from an online reference or article?

I've heard of this too, never tried yet

That's from November 3, 2001 and that's like information that the Dinosaurs could have used to to prevent their extinction.

Its talking about index.dat files that do keep site information if not cleaned out occasionally which CCleaner will clean on a reboot if selected with Delete Index.dat files and about cookies and IE History that CCleaner also will clean out.

Interesting analogy!
