Clearing Recent Files for apps

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to enable the clearing of the 'recent files' section for apps like Adobe Reader DC, Microsoft Office, etc?

those items you mention, and most recent items (MRU's), are already covered if you run CC with the default settings.

Really? Because it hasn't been happening for me. Can you clarify exactly which setting it is and where it is located? As of right now I have checked my settings in the 'cleaner' tab and have everything selected except 'network passwords' and 'wipe free space'.

for your two examples, Adobe and Office, in the Cleaner section, on the Applications tab, under the Applications heading, you'll see your Adobe and Office versions, make sure they are ticked.

are you using winapp2.ini or any other enhancers?

what about EXCLUDE's, have you added any?

I have them checked, no I am not using any enhancers and there are no folders excluded. I just check Office and it is in fact clearing. Adobe Reader however is not, and all the recent files are still there. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2017.009.20044.

I tested CC with my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it's cleaning fine.

One difference between our two could be background tasks, I have turned off Acrobat auto-updates.

Check your Task Manager for any running Adobe processes which may be stopping CC from cleaning (perhaps sort by the Description column to get all Adobe stuff together).

I turned off the auto update feature, but it still does not clean. I am not sure what else could be prohibiting it.

the fact Adobe is showing in the Applications tab of CC indicates it's being detected, but maybe it's time to find out exactly what is triggering that detection.

run your CC with the /export switch, documentation here; http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters

open each of the 3 .ini files with your favourite text editor and search for adobe.

confirm the folder locations match your installation.
