cleanup not working

So just the cleanup works (altho it removes thumbnails but sometime later adds the same amount back idk what's up with that?)

But the clean up of system files isn’t working. I try to remove windows updates and it actually added like 500MB onto my C drive instead of removing like 3gb of updates and some MBs of other stuff. I could really use that extra space I only have 744MB on C 7,28MB on D 1 gb on E. I disabled downloading of any further updates btw,

What can I do?

And an additional question: are there some other ways to cleanup at least a few bit of space without risks? some that aren’t that known ofc

(ps i use cleanup without ccleaner, also i use asc other times not ccleaner)

If you're that low on space trying to find other things to clean isn't going to do that much - unless you have some bloated software installed that you either never use or very rarely use that could allow for some extra space if you uninstall it.

Hard disks aren't very expensive nowadays, if you have a PC tower you could add an additional internal hard disk to store other things on not related to the operating system such as music, video, downloaded software, etc. Other than that you could also get an external hard disk.

try using the inbuilt MS cleaner, from a elevated command prompt, type in cleanmgr c:

also use a free tool called WizTree to find out where all your space is being used.

It could also be allot of old Restore Points consuming so much space.
