many installers leave cruft behind. A prime example of this would be nVidia which can store gigabytes of temporary installer files in both:
C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\
and
C:\NVIDIA\
To my knowledge, both of these directories can be emptied with no real downsides. I'd love to see a section for cleaning up all sorts of installers.
OK I know what cruft is, but the origin of the word still makes me chuckle.
Wiki will still tell you that the origin is unknown.
I like the explanation that goes as follows-
Crufts is the worlds largest pedigree dog show.
As you can imagine after such a show there is a lot of dog cruft to clean up.

this can you delete manually or with the include-option.
but the other "temporary installer" should perhaps stay, if i remember me darkly
