Cleaning .Sys files

PC is Windows 10 based.

Using CCleaner I have tried many times to thoroughly clean wipe free space on my C drive using many passes.

Using Recuva shows many previously deleted files still recoverable.

Using Eraser shows that Restore, hiberfil.sys, pagefil.sys, swapfile.sys have not been cleaned.

Are these .sys files where the recoverable files are located?

If yes how can they be cleaned?

- These *.sys files are needed for the OS to work properly. They act as a cache for the OS. You can get rid of (some of) them (GOOGLE it) but then your system will slow down, especially when you've got not too much memory. So, I am not recommending to get rid of them.

Those are all system files used by the Win 10 OS.

You can clear them https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/instantanswers/8fef4121-711b-4be1-996f-99e02c7301c2/disk-cleanup-in-windows-10 but they will be automatically recreated again by Windows.

@Nukecad: I think that article refers to the files & folders in the infamous "C:\Windows\winsxs" (sub-)folder(s). And those *.sys files as mentioend in the 1st post are - AFAIK - located in the root of the systemdrive (c:\).
