Cleaner messed up my Browsers

Yesterday I ran CCleaner for the first time since my IT buddies installed it on my Vista laptop while fixing a fatal crash a month ago.

I ran the Cleaner, left all the default boxes checked, and then ran the Registry thing, scanned, and fixed the problems there. Now when I run my Browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox, it's like I'm on a 56k modem rather than cable, and for some reason pages take way too long to load. I double checked my internet settings--same, and I ran a system restore to about six hours before I had used the cleaner--nothing.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, but it works exactly the same broken way. Then I shut my laptop off for the night, and turned it back on this morning to find that many of my frequented pages would load normally, but soon that stopped, and everything is back to slow loading.

...help?

nevermind. figured it out on my own.
