I made sure that I have the tick mark near option for cleaning auto form suggestions. I don't want automated suggestions - e.g. automated email address occuring when logging in to email inbox. Of course this doesn't count for google and other search engines. Browsers are both firefox and ie. Its not working anywhere. Auto suggestions from past usage are still occuring, even if I cleaned them via ccleaner. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance my friends.
All browsers are for sure closed. Tickets are enabled/marked within ccleaner program.
No cookies are in exclude list.
OS is 32bit, althought this shouldn't matter because I am going to buy new computer(s) soon and they might be 64 bit so I would like to remember the instructions that will hopefully follow for new computer(s) if I will be in such situation. IE is version 8, firefox is version 15. Windows (which also should matter because i will buy 8 immediately when it comes out for new computer(s)) is XP.
You must also ensure that the processes Firefox.exe and Plugin-Container.exe are closed,
because even if the browser tries to close, Add-ons may still be running.
You may need to launch Windows Task Manager and look at the Processes Tab and select the relevant process and click "End Process"
I think that most other browsers may similarly close but related processes continue to run and prevent proper cleaning.
When you close the IE8 browser you may be in a different world of hurt and pain,
because Internet Explorer is just the outward manifestation of "Trident" which was incorporated into Windows to give competitive advantage over Netscape,
so in my view Internet Explorer never sleeps when Windows is running
I tried to check plugin-container.exe to ensure myself it is shut down before i run ccleaner. It was shut down. But auto suggest history from forms is still occuring. If there is any other process in Processes tab (task manager) that needs to be shut down, let me know please.
I am repeating my primary question again since nothing has been resolved so far. I need to find solution for both: firefox and ie.
Starting with 15 of Firefox, they changed the way the profile is accessed. If you formerly upgraded, you may note a difference if you MozBackup to backup your settings, then delete the old profile. Let FF 16 create a new profile, then exit FF & MozBackup again to import the saved bookmarks/passwords, etc.
Start/Run/%appdata% & Firefox profile will be in the folder that shows up when you press enter.
auto-suggest from form are being shown/suggested as soon as I type the first charachter of the value. Example: If email is ''email@gmail.com'' and I type in the form ''e'' without the quotes, then this email address, along others (if previously used that begin with ''e''), is immediately suggested. This shouldn't be done.
When it comes to email addresses, they are being remembered (for later auto suggest) only if I try to log in (even without entered password by mistake) with no matter if email address and/or password is valid or not.
If I don't try to log in, means if I try to type only email address and/or password but change my mind about logging in, then they aren't remembered so they don't go to history.

Is this the situation with a brand new User Profile, or what happens with an existing User Profile ?
same happens with both user profiles - new and old. Anyway I would prefer to use old one. So im still looking for this solution. Even if pc is my, those auto suggesting on forms (emails, usernames, addresses, etc) is really annoying.
One more thing that i have to mention and which might change a bit the conversation: If I do the same process with PC Health Advisor software then autosuggest history is finally gone but I want to use ccleaner. Specially because PCHA is houndreds of times more slow than ccleaner.
why don't you just turn autosuggest off in the browser then?
can you, with screen captures, show us both the (various) checkmarks you have checked (on both tabs) in ccleaner and these auto-suggest boxes in the two browsers
in Firefox, do you have it saving passwords or no. Two you use any password add-ons, such as lastpass? Is it only remembering email and passwords?
You asked me why don't i turn off autosuggest in browser. You were probably relating to both browsers IE and firefox. If i knew how (of course in both browsers) then i would but this would be only partial solution - only for my own pc. Public computers are protected via admin computer access. Cannot change browser's settings or auto:config page. Also the fact that there is autosuggesting means that kind of data is somewhere on hard drive. I need it to be gone using ccleaner.
here is what you asked for and thank you for offer:
i have it saving passwords yes, only which i want. I have few addons but none are related to passwords.
Also i need to repeat that im searching solution for both IE and firefox because such private data must be gone for good, even on my own pc, after ccleaner's task is done. Before i open ccleaner obviously it shouldn't be gone otherwise i would set the settings to NOT remember anything which is NOT what i want. I want them to be gone for good once ccleaner task is done.

That's why I asked for both tabs
Check off Saved Passwords in Internet explorer
in firefox I'm guessing
you want Saved form information and saved passwords
