I can not get ccleaner to delete history in chrome, I've run in the background from in chrome, what can I do
check Task Manager for any instances of other chrome.exe's, and while there, make sure no other google related apps are running.
I have these running see picture
and google drive
so there's at least 2 Google related process running then...
stop them and see if that helps.
Mines also not clearing my history with chrome 59.... im not signed and and i unchecked running in the background and everything
Same problem for me with latest CCleaner and Chromium 59 releases. CTRL+shift+del works. History Eraser add-on for Chrome works. The pinned article provides no solution.
At a loss here
Just update Chrome to version Version 59.0.3071.86 (Official Build) (64-bit) today. Noticed that CCleaner doesn't clean the history. Tried different things to no avail. The settings in chrome look completely different now. I'm wondering with the new version if the location of the history has changed.
