Are your profiles in the default locations?
think so, no special settings here - only both are beta
c:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\
c:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Roaming\Google\Chrome Dev\
Firefox showed after running it twice, Chrome still out
any ideas how to fix this?
The normal location for Chrome (for example) is just \Chrome, not \Chrome Dev isn't it?
Have you tried installing the non-beta version and seeing if that appears on the Applications list of CC?
hm, maybe, although I think cc is using Chrome* to fix that.
Installing Standard Chrome is not an option
Chrome* indicates you are using winapp2.ini correct?
Why is the standard installation not an option? Even just to test this issue?
because it messes up with the dev install (:-((
Yes I tried to use winapp2 to see if that might help, but no (;:-(( Maybe someone can post the correct winapp2 settings here to insert it into my install
Have you tried custom location? http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers
replace MOZILLA with CHROME
sounds like an idea, but I ma still hoping for a solucion using winapp2.ini (:-))
Winapp2 files only add cleaning rules. The template contains browser entries but they use the same detect as default ccleaner. It will NOT solve your issue. Sure you could rewrite a winapp2 entry specifically for your install location but, to me, that seems excessive when cuatomlocation SHOULD clear this up. However if you insist on doing it with winapp2, you'll need to move the discussion to the sole winapp2 thread.sounds like an idea, but I ma still hoping for a solucion using winapp2.ini (:-))
ok, you have my atention. Could you walk me thru how to do that in ccleaner.ini
. Could you walk me thru how to do that in ccleaner.ini
Follow the directions in the link replace mozilla with chrome for your chrome entry
need more help
I did an entry like this:
CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|c:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default\
what do I need to look for as this way its not showing in the settings either
And which folders do I need to include
EDIT:
This location is being scanned now, but which folders and is firefix itself being scanned too?
Firefox, if not default location will also require a CustomLocation
As for chrome, I'm not understanding the question, what do you mean "which folders"
CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|c:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default\
That will be this:
CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default
Good catch @Andavari I totally missed that lol.
thanks guys - looks like it works
Folders I meant - \default\ is enough or do I have to list all the folders that are in there or does ccleaner find what it needs by itself?
Ccleaner finds what it needs based on the custom location yes.
thanks a lot. You can close the topic now (:-)) I am well attended and fine (:-))
