Chrome a problem?

Everytime I run cc cleaner it stops and ask if I want cc to close Chrome (even though it is not running) and I say "yes". Then it comes back asking if I want to force it to shutdown Chrome and I say yes. Then it finishes cleaning. I know after looking at my running process's that Google Chrome is running. Can this be fixed? How would that be done?

Thanks

Jerry

turn off chrome sync and/or Google cloud print. Make sure you aren't running any chrome-apps

You don't need to disable sync and cloud print. Just make sure "background apps" are disabled in the advanced settings. (scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click "show advanced")

Thank you @TheWebAtom I'll annotate my usual answer with this above post :)

How does one mention people like that?

no closing tag needed

I've also linked your reply in @Winapp2.ini's FAQ thread

Thank You! That seemed to fix the problem. Interesting why I let it bother me rather ask. Like a guy asking for directions I guess.

I've tried turning off "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" and that doesn't kill it on closing. Only turning off cloud printing works for me, removing the startup entry "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --type=service in HKCU\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\0EF39F5CD2F93E2D49A90D9D56ACFA1B90BF26B7._service_run

I hardly ever want to print to home while out and about but would like this facility to be there and for CCleaner to close Chrome fully and smoothly. Is there a way that the feature could be incorporated in a future version? I'm running v4.00.4064 on two laptops; one with 64-bit Win7 (that's where the registry entry came from) and 32-bit Win7, which has a corresponding entry without the "(x86)" bit.

Thanks in advance....

ME TOO :-)

Seems this is an issue with chrome (or addons) not much a lowly program like Ccleaner can do about it
