Chrome 6

Homepage

Google Chrome 6.0.472.53 has been released to the stable and beta channels for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Updates from the previous stable release include:

  • Updated UI
  • Form Autofill
  • Syncing of extensions and Autofill data
  • Increased speed and stability

Czechoslovakia them out.

Because of the tracking/privacy concerns, I'm sticking with SRWare Iron as my secondary browser (Opera is primary). SRWare will be coming out with a 6.x version shortly as well. :)

I've been one step ahead - FileHippo - Google Chrome Beta -- version 7.0 :D

Go for broke, get the Chromium builds. :D

I run the Canary build.

I don't agree that there is privacy / tracking concerns with Chrome. Would you care to expand on the concern youve got?

Google Chrome initiates a "User ID" number linked to each browser install. Theoretically, it could track you, but it doesn't do anything right now with the data. SRWare Iron's browser is an alternative - here are the changes. SRWare Iron change list
