When I try to update software or drivers, it gives me It seems you’re offline. Check your internet connection to finish updating. Error code: 3

However, I am online with a 1 GB connection

I believe this is being looked into, thank you for your report. Other have also ,transiently, having error codes on software update. I got (I think) error four but it worked itself out.

Just to check are you using any VPN and what anti-virus are you using?

That message is generic and is a poor description of the problem.
It’s just a lazy message that assumes the connection fault is at your computer rather than somewhere on the web.

What it should say is: “Unable to connect to the requested server”
ie. it can’t find/connect to the whatever server the update should be coming from.

(We did get them to change it in CCleaner v6.##, but they put a lot of flaws like that message back in v7).

Please follow these steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe

  2. Replicate the issue on your end.

  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.

  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.
