I want to change the system user name, and I know there is a way to change the user name by copying all the files of the user to a temporary place -> creating a new user and copying the temporary files back, but most of the programs I installed on the current user aren't installed for all users, so if I want to access them through a new user, the programs wouldn't work properly.
So, is there an easy way to change the system user name(profile)?
Assuming you mean you just want to change the name of an account, all you have to do is go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts, and click the account whose name you want to change under the category "or pick an account to change". This will bring you to a window that says "What do you want to change about your account?"; click "Change my name".
Sorry, I want to change the profile "Berdy" here: "C:\Documents and Settings\Berdy" to another profile name like "Batman", but keeping all data (files, settings etc.).
