Downloaded the ccsetup505 from Piriform site and ran. After deselecting desktop-shortcut and both Recycle-Bin options, clicked "Next". "Next" widget went dim, window displayed no information and the setup stalled. The only functions working were "Back" and the "X" to terminate the setup. Tried several times, even downloaded another ccsetup505 from download.cnet.com with the same result. Both setup files read as 6.18M.
Why would I, or should I rename the installer file when I never had to do so before? In any case, renaming an application does not affect the way it executes, that is solely determined by its code.
As I mentioned the program does run up to the point it requests the installation customizations, then it stalls.

Some people do and ccleaner installer attempts to clise all ccleaner.exe processes (this is actually a common reason for the issue you described)
