I installed CCleaner on a another computer but didn’t activate it right away. It nearly took over the screen with frequent prompts to activate that could not be ignored. The user felt like CCleaner was holding the computer hostage. This behavior will likely not increase subscriptions but rather discourage users to attempt to use the product at all.
