Moderater, please feel free to move the post to where ever it is apporated. I using the function to wipe my external hard disk drive. It was accidentally disconnected physically. After that, the free space is reduce to a small amount. Is there anyway to fix the problem for my hard disk drive? As I belive it work by writing a file that is not shown in the hard disk drive/
Hi DiEnd, and welcome to Piriform.
If this was your System Drive, you would find a very large file with an unusual name. It could be letters or numbers, and it would be in the Root Drive, C:.
On an external drive, I can't say where it will be, but it should be there somewhere. You need to delete that file, which is normally deleted when the operation completes in the normal way.
If you can't see anything, try enabling "Show Hidden Files And Folders".
