Updated ccleaner, downloads fine but when I try to run it nothing happens, but, in task manager ''processes'' it is running, twice.
I have ''ended process'' in task manager and tried again to open it, nothing, tried uninstalling it restarting pc and installing it again, same thing happens. Ran Malware, Superanti spyware nothing turned up.
I have been using ccleaner for years and never a problem.
os is Vista

what version of CC are you trying to install?
have you tried the Slim or Portable builds?
where did you get the download from and what is the downloaded .exe called?
also try installing with the PC in Safe Mode.

Clicked on ''update available'' ( ccsetup525.exe ) as I have done for years, always choose Piriform option.
Tried safe mode, same thing happens.
As explained task manager shows it running twice, cpu 100% ( 50% each entry )

May be best to uninstall CCleaner, reboot, and then download and install it from here.

Done all that several times, version 525 works on my home pc, my son's laptop, the wife's laptop,I copied the installer from my pc and installed ( after uninstalling and restarting ) it on the laptop, same result, every I click on the desktop icon, task manager has another ccleaner process running, six processes running....
Everything else on the laptop works fine.

Go here and download the Slim build. Your security software could be blocking the normal installer which has the Google offers.
