ccleaner v4.13.4693 will not install

I've downloaded the latest version of ccleaner, but every time i try to install it, it gets to a point where it says 'Install Options' (which i do not change, just click 'next>' something flashes on the screen and then my browser opens and displays an html file which is located on my local computer.

file:///C:/Users/xxxxx/AppData/Local/Temp/nspB54F.tmp/g/gcombo/ComboOffer.html

The CCleaner installer shows two buttons. one says '<back' the other is 'install', but it is grayed out.

If I click the '<back' button windows tells me the installer has stopped working. :wacko:

Any ideas would be appreciated.

where did you download it from?

use the official Piriform site first and Filehippo if need be later.

if still no luck, instead of the normal, free version, try either the Slim or Portable builds (also free).

or try installing from Safe Mode.

Please uninstall what version you have, and download and install the slim build from here
