One of the features I have enjoyed most about CCleaner is the ability to wipe free space, especially in the MFT. However, in the titular version, CCleaner simply skips over this step, even when it is the only cleaning step selected. Typically, I have most of the checkboxes selected in both the Windows and Applications tabs.
I have tried deselecting then reselecting the checkbox and it still does not work.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/titular. Titular essentially means "that which pertains to the title." I did not want to say "CCleaner v2.29.111" when it was already in the title, so I said "titular version" instead. Apparently, some people more learned than I have discouraged the word for my usage, and now I can see why. Sorry for the confusion.
@Nergal: I tend to use WFS every week or so because I typically create and delete a lot of files each week for work. I have found that using WFS helps Defraggler perform better, so I like to do it often. Every time WFS has worked visibly, it has taken several hours to run, as I have tens of gigabytes of free space on my computer. The fact that the cleaning is reporting as being finished in 3 milliseconds without reporting the WFS as having even started is what lead me to conclude that WFS is not working in v2.29.111.
Let me preempt a question by saying that I use the Gutmann secure deletion option in WFS.
So, is this a bug, or has how the tool works been changed?
