Any reason though why the alternate builds were not included immediately?
To answer that for MrG - as a developer I know it is easier to remove things, than to add them. Sooo, build the full app, then slim it down - simple :-) And yes, this will take some time.
Does it take more time to include Yahoo spyware then to make an installer with CCleaner only?
FYI: Slim and portable versions will be out on Monday.
Slim - woot!!
Wait..I thought the whole idea of it being portable was that you could copy the folder onto a USB drive and it would work...that's what I did... and it works... now I'm lost.
Mercy installed 2.01.507 running windows xp home edition service pack 2 and even with run (in start menu) unchecked under Windows Explorer everything still get erased in the run menu. Why can't this be corrected as it has been listed quite often in previous 2.0 + versions? Am going back to 1.38. until this bug is fixed.
its useless to complain about that index.dat because once it gets deleted upon restart windows automatically creates another one because it is needed by the system.

Thanks, i know perfecly how work the index.dat deletion
The fact is that CCleaner doesn't detect/delete mine at all, as said above
The new 2.0.1 update still has winapp.ini seperate from the EXE. Will the portable or slim version have Winapp.ini embedded into CCleaner so that I only have to put 1 file on a flash drive?

It really shouldn't... maybe you should try uninstalling CCleaner, deleting the folder, and reinstall it. Wouldn't hurt to try.

I uninstalled and installed again and just tried the portable version that was released today. They both still have winapp.ini as a seperate file. Is there any way that I can embed it into the CCleaner.exe myself?
