At first, Ccleaner?s front end appeared formidable.
After I'd used it for a while, I began to find the same recurring error.
I have been using PDFCreator to record webpages as PDFs for years.
When I use Ccleaner with history unchecked and proper cookies kept, Ccleaner will do its job, but create a disconnect with PDFCreator. In other words, each time I ask PDFCreator to make a webpage, I must hit a cancel button twice while it asks for an RCD.MSI to be loaded.
While I've located the proper disk and reinstalled RCD.MSI, it's certainly not appropriate to do that every single time I clean up my computer.
Can someone please tell me if there is a checkmark section that I should ignore? I presume that if I ignore some other section, Ccleaner will clean most of the machine but leave that missing link from RCD.MSI alone...
TIA
Try this -- āuntick everything listed under the Applications tab and see if the trubb persists.
If it's cured, you'll have some work determining which item is the culprit. ![:)]()
You're having an "MSI Hell" issue!
What I've did in the past to remedy this type of MSI issue is:
1. Create a folder on drive C: for that .MSI file to live in permanently such as "C:\Missing Files" or whatever you wish to name it. That way if it's asked for it again you won't have to mess around with any CDs/DVDs to obtain it.
2. Copy that .MSI file into that "C:\Missing Files" folder on drive C:, and then if/when asked for it again point to that folder where you saved it.
Usually this works since where it's stored on drive C: will be saved into the registry as the source location after you have to just point to it once more, and the next time there's a request for it it will either prompt you for the location which is handily on drive C:, or better yet it may automagically find it by itself never annoying you again.

If you think it's CCleaner here's something to try:
* What I'd do is in the Cleaner part click Analyze and see if it lists anything from it, and if it does exclude it.
* I'd do the same in the Registry cleaner part which is more likely the culprit.
If you're using any other registry cleaning software you may want to pay close attention to what they want to "fix" and exclude that MSI file if it's listed.
