On my PC running Windows XP SP3, I just upgraded Firefox from 21.0 to 22.0b2 and
found discrepancies as listed under CCleaner's (v4.01.4093) Tools->Startup->Firefox
tab.
Under Firefox 21.0, CCleaner's Tools->Startup->Firefox tab was in complete agreement
with Firefox's "about:addons", showing 6 extensions (5 enabled, 1 disabled) and
18 plugins (16 enabled, 2 disabled).
After upgrading to Firefox 22.0b2, with NO changes in extensions/plugins,
Firefox's "about:addons" information stayed exactly the same, however CCleaner's
Startup->Firefox tab information was no longer in agreement. The tab's extension
information for the 6 extensions was in total agreement with Firefox. However,
the tab's plugin information showed all 18 plugins, but ALL were disabled, rather
than 16 enabled and just 2 disabled.
I removed Firefox's "pluginreg.dat" file from Firefox's profile directory,
forcing Firefox to rebuild it on next invocation. Firefox's "about:addons"
remained unchanged after reinvoking Firefox, however CCleaner's Startup->Firefox
tab plugin information still showed all 18 plugins as being disabled.
It looks like something changed in Firefox 22 to cause these discrepancies and I
would appreciate your investigation into this matter and await an update of CCleaner
to resolve this problem.
Thanks in advance!
